Workforce Development Awards Committee
Recognizing the importance of a skilled local workforce to a health economy, this committee has worked very hard over the last few years to solicit funds from various business sectors to increase cash grants from $1200 to over $20,000 a year. Grants of up to $2,500 have been awarded for tuition and required materials at trade schools and colleges to people of any age needing money to improve their work skills. The program continues for 2010. Applications are usually posted on this site by March 1st. Look for an icon on the right side of any page.
Scholarship Foundation

LEAD Yuba^Sutter
Mission: To develop a diverse network of community leaders who
individually and collectively serve as a catalyst for advancing
long-term views and action on issues critical to the quality of life in
the Yuba-Sutter area.
The Chamber's leadership program identifies and encourages the
leadership development of individuals interested in expanding their
skills by learning more about their community and the importance of
civic responsibility. The goal is for Lead Yuba^Sutter graduates to
positively impact the counties and cities in which they live. LEAD YS is on hiatus for 2010.
