How is it possible that the Chamber's ever busy volunteers have already kicked off a "Home for the Holidays" promotional campaign?

The answer lies in the work of the committee, which started this year with the Shop Local Discount Card program that gives discounts at participating Chamber businesses. You can find the names of participants online at www.yubasutterchamber.com. and on Page 10 of this publication. That popular campaign led to a donation from the Yuba Sutter Mall of a $500 gift card. The committee quickly developed a plan to promote the gift card with a campaign to keep the "Shop Local" message in the forefront as the holiday season approaches.

The card will be given away at the Chamber's Business After Hours event on November 19th at the Yuba-Sutter Mall.

But the campaign doesn't just include the gift card. Already, 25 Chamber businesses have donated a gift valued at $50 or more. These businesses will also have entry forms available to win the $500 gift card.

The names of all the winners will be announced at the Business After Hours. The evening's events will also include a live remote from AM 1600 and FM 95.5 KUBA announcing the names of the winners. Winners of prizes will be put back into the drawing for the $500 prize.

The "Home for the Holidays" campaign is also a part of the regional Yuba City Buy Local Task Force effort. The logo, entry forms and posters of the "Home for the Holidays" campaign bear the newly released logo that has been prepared for the year-long campaign and which is on the front page of Business Today. The sign will be in the window of participating businesses and the list will be updated on the Chamber's web site at www.yubasutterchamber.com.
