The Bank of Feather River
The Bank of Feather River was created out of the desire of
several experienced long-time Yuba Sutter bankers to provide this area with a
bank focused on strong core values. Bank of Feather River opened for business
in November 2007 in temporary quarters on Bridge Street in Yuba
City prior to relocating to their new permanent location at 855 Harter Parkway, Suite 100,
in Yuba City.
This new three-story building, across from River Valley High School, will also
house other professionals such as Realtors, engineers and insurance agents to
name a few.
The bank's executive management team has worked together in
successful community banks in the Yuba-Sutter area for more than 20 years. A
majority of the bank's staff have also worked together at local community
banks.
"We have been able to assemble a team of this area's most
outstanding professionals, who really know and understand the bank's products,
know and understand our local communities, and who have the skills to
understand the needs of those we serve," said Julie Shackleford, President and
CEO.
"Working amongst such confident, knowledgeable and friendly
staff compliments the financially strong, safe and sound bank we operate.. Just
imagine walking into a bank and being greeted by name by your personal banker;
that is what our customers experience with Bank of Feather River."
The Bank's long-term business plan is to operate out of a
single location, which will enable the staff to focus on providing a core group
of customers a solid source of assistance for all of their banking needs.
The true value of a local bank is the focus on community
success. The Bank of Feather River assists local businesses with achieving
their goals by reinvesting deposits back into the community in the form of
loans to local businesses for operational needs and loans to individuals for
home purchases or investment purposes.
Just as the Feather River has historically played an
important role in the development of agriculture in Yuba and Sutter counties, the
Bank of the Feather River is already playing
an important role for the agricultural community, providing operating lines of
credit, equipment loans, and loans to purchase or refinance farm real estate.
Bank officers Jeff Cryer and Harman Gosal utilize their vast
local agriculture and finance experience to provide the right products and
services to help local farmers make their businesses successful. The agricultural
sector is vital to the local economy, and the Bank of Feather River is a
fundamental part of the local agricultural sector.
In addition to local farmers, the Bank of Feather River has
developed business relationships with doctors, dentists, lawyers, and other
small to mid-sized business owners and operators.
The bank offers checking and savings accounts, certificates
of deposit (CDs), CDARs, (CDs which offer multi-million dollar FDIC insurance
coverage), safe deposit boxes, ATM access, and drive-up banking, in addition to
on-line banking and remote deposit capture which allows businesses to deposit
checks without leaving their office. Bank of Feather River deposits are insured
by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).
The Bank of Feather River is set apart from others by its
experienced staff, which includes: Julie Shackleford, President/CEO, Jeff
Cryer, Senior Vice President/President Feather River Bancorp, Liz Gates,
SVP/Chief Operating Officer, Harman Gosal, VP Commercial Loan Officer, Barbara
VanGilder, VP Real Estate Loan Officer, Barbara McConnell, AVP/Loan Operations,
Alisa Carter, AVP/Exec Administrative Assistant, Jennifer Bechtel, Assistant
Operations Manager, Laura Shelby, Credit Analyst and Natalie Lee, Personal
Banker.
Not only are Bank of Feather River management and staff
experienced in community banking, they are vital members of the community,
volunteering their time and making contributions to local causes including
youth activities.
Bank of Feather River continues to build new relationships
with local businesses and individuals and invites the members of our communities
to visit their new location.
Imagine banking with confident, local, and knowledgeable
people; at a bank that is sound, secure and solid.
