The area is largely agricultural but is growing rapidly with thousands of homes recently built throughout the two-county area. New residents are drawn to the quality of life of the area, which includes a widely diverse cultural community and the strategic location of Beale Air Force Base in Yuba County.
The Sutter Buttes, known as the world’s smallest mountain range, are the symbolic focal point of the community.
On the northern bank of the Yuba River in Marysville, is the unique and sacred Bok Kai Temple. For over a century it has been a place of worship for Chinese in North and Central America who pay tribute to Bok Eye, their water God or God of the Dark North. It is the only known temple honoring Bok Eye in the United States and it has drawn countless worshippers and tourists through the years. The Bok Kai Festival in February or March each year, is not to be missed.
Yuba-Sutter...a great place to live, work, and play!
Spend an afternoon feeding the ducks at Ellis Lake in downtown Marysville.
