Coming This June Fremont-Rideout Health Group's ...New Urgent Care
Center
To provide better access to medical care for minor injuries and
illnesses outside of regular doctor's hours, Fremont-Rideout Health Group is
opening a new Urgent Care Center!
Beginning in June, patients from Sutter, Yuba and southern Butte County
will be able to come into the walk-in, no appointment necessary Urgent Care Center in north Yuba
City.
Patients can receive treatment for minor medical injuries
and illnesses in a state-of-the art, 6,320 square foot facility, according to
Terri Hamilton, Fremont-Rideout Health Group's Chief Executive Officer.
The Urgent
Care Center
will be open seven days a week, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during the week and 10
a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends. The Urgent
Care Center
is a better option for many minor injuries and illnesses that are now being
treated at the Rideout
Emergency Center.
"Urgent Care is being opened to provide professional
alternative care in a location with state-of-the-art equipment for people who
might otherwise go to the emergency room with minor medical emergencies," Hamilton said.
The new Fremont-Rideout Health Group Urgent Care Center will
include seven exam rooms and will be staffed by a top-notch physician, Dr.
Rajpreet Dhesi, Board Certified, American Board of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation and Board Certified in the subspecialty of Pain Medicine; Two
Registered Nurses; A Nurse Practitioner; A Physicians Assistant, supporting
staff and a receptionist. The brand new facility will also serve
Fremont-Rideout Occupational Health clients.
"We anticipate about 18,000 patients annually will use the Urgent Care
Center. By comparison,
Rideout Emergency Room last year had 52,759 visits.
"Anyone visiting Urgent Care will be assessed and treated
with the utmost care and concern in a timely and professional manner." Dr.
Dhesi said. "We need to be where people need us - conveniently located and easy
to find," said Dhesi. "That's why we chose the big building just east of Live Oak Boulevard
and Queens Avenue
on Plumas Court.
