One of the students offered a position as a Medical
Assistant while still completing her externship is Kristen Lasik. Upon
graduating from Cambridge,
Kristen will begin working full-time as a Medical Assistant with Sutter North
Medical Foundation. “I graduated from Lindhurst High School
in June 2007 and less than a year later I will have a full-time job with great
benefits,” Kristen explained enthusiastically. Kristen chose Cambridge Career
College for two reasons.
“I chose the school because it was close to home. Also, I had friends who
attended Cambridge
and talked about what a warm friendly environment it was. They thought it would
be a good fit for me.” Kristen has also recommend Cambridge to her friends.
Sabita Kondle, from North Valley Nephrology in Yuba City, has hosted student externs and hired medical
assistant graduates from Cambridge
Career College.
Sabita expressed that Cambridge
students are very knowledgeable. She explained that she is very pleased with
the Cambridge
medical assistants she has hired. Teresa Acosta, Nursing Supervisor at Regency
Urgent Care stated, “Cambridge
externs are very professional and arrive ready to perform the duties expected
of medical assistants. They are skilled in both front and back office.” She
added that she enjoys working with them and is thrilled with the Cambridge Career College
graduates that Regency Urgent Care has hired.
The college is constantly communicating with professional
leaders in healthcare and business. The college maintains an advisory board
made up of over 100 industry professionals. These advisors review the programs,
make curriculum recommendations and often hire the graduates from the college.
“Our advisory board helps make sure that Cambridge
is keeping abreast of the changing trends in business and healthcare in the
Yuba-Sutter area,” states Michael Cartoscelli, Advisory Board Chair and Sr.
Vice-President of Sierra Central Credit Union.
Cambridge Career College
is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges
and Schools, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Secretary
of Education. CCC Students are eligible to participate in federal student
financial aid programs authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of
1965, as amended, and as administered by the U.S. Department of Education. Cambridge received a
coveted 8 year grant of Accreditation, an attestation to the quality of
training provided by this local college.
“I have always counted on Cambridge Career
College to produce high
quality healthcare workers,” said Raj Mann, LVN, Clinical Supervisor for Sutter
North. “I have hired graduates from many other schools but have been especially
impressed with the preparation of students from Cambridge. They have a great Medical
Assisting program that prepares the graduates for real world jobs in a small
amount of time.”
