Government Affairs Committee

Mission: Establish necessary relationships with city, county, federal and state elected officials to support or oppose issues impacting the Yuba-Sutter business community.

The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is truly the "voice of business" in Yuba-Sutter. Should the Chamber of Commerce be asked how government action will affect the business community, this is the committee that speaks. It is second only to the Board of Directors in authority. Flood Control Task Force 

In 2008, the GAC formed a Flood Control Task Force whose immediate mission is to study and inform the community regarding the impact of newly re-drawn flood zone maps. It is anticipated this task force will operate for several years.
