SURVEY RESPONSE TASK FORCE: The Chamber Board of Directors has appointed a Survey Response Task Force to review the responses to the Chamber's annual membership survey. The goal will be to determine what action the Chamber can take to improve its communications and membership services. If you would like the group to address a topic, please e-mail lnicholson@yubasutterchamber.com, call 743-6501 or contact a task force member. The task force includes Bruce Dickinson, PIP Printing & Document Services; Rich Gabel, Frank M. Booth, Inc.; Bob Harlan, AM1600 KUBA; Linda Montenegro, Chapman University; Julie Shackelford, Bank of Feather River; Dave Vaughn, Yuba-Sutter Disposal, Inc.; and David Yamamoto, Sutter North Medical Foundation.

 

CATERING BIDS DUE: Catering bids for Great Balls of Fire are due by Friday at 5 p.m. at the Chamber office. If you need information about the bid contact the Chamber at 743-6501. This Business After Hours on September 11, 2008, is hosted by the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds. Call the Chamber if you would like to donate a prize or basket. Friday, July 11, 8 a.m., Member Orientation: MAXIMIZE YOUR MEMBERSHIP! Learn how to use your membership with the Chamber to the Maximum Advantage. Whether you are a new or established business, recent member or hitting your 50-year anniversary with the Chamber, you will learn something different that can help you promote your business.  You will meet some of the Chamber Leadership and Staff, see how the web site is benefiting your business, and get tips on networking to get the most out of Ribbon Cuttings, Business after Hours and Business Connection Breakfasts. There is no cost to attend this orientation, just a chance for you to gather more information about what your membership can do to enhance your business. Thursday, July 10, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., Small Business Administration Disaster Preparedness Workshop: Diana McClure, Director of Business Protection at the Institute for Business and Vice President at the Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS) will host the SBA'S July web chat on "Preparing for Disaster - What Every Homeowner, Renter and Business Should Know." McClure will share her insight on disaster preparedness and emergency readiness for homeowners, renters, and business owners and answer questions about how to plan for physical disasters, including how to recover from property damage and economic loss.
