BUSINESS CONNECTION BREAKFAST RESERVATIONS: On Friday, May 30, Michael Saccomano, Counselor at the Yuba College Regional Small Business Development Center will be the featured speaker on the topic "E-Commerce." Join us at Boyd Hall, 1895 Lassen Blvd in Yuba City. The cost is $12 with a reservation by Wednesday, May 28, 4 p.m., $15 after. DON'T MISS THE CHAMBER CHALLENGE: The "Chamber Challenge" is now available for viewing online at www.yubasutterchamber.com and airs this week on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and Friday at 8 p.m. on Comcast Channel 19. This month's contestants are Stephanie Reynolds, Yuba College softball coach playing for Blue Star Moms; Jim King, Yuba City Racquet Club playing for the Yuba City High School Tennis Team and Nate Pomeroy, Peach Tree Golf & Country Club playing for the Yuba City Foundation benefiting Gauche Park aquatic scholarships. The winning contestant receives $500 for the charity of their choice. CHAMBER CHALLENGE VIEWING PARTY: A viewing party for the Chamber Challenge will be held Wednesday, May 28, at 7:15 p.m. at the Yuba City Racquet Club. The Sunset Moulding/Yuba City Racquet Club 6th annual USTA Pro Circuit $50,000 Men's 2008 Challenger runs from May 31 to June 8. It is the highest level professional sporting event in tennis in the North State.
LEGISLATIVE LUNCH RESERVATIONS: The 2nd Legislative Lunch will be held Friday, June 6, with Sen. Sam Aanestad as the featured speaker. Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa will also attend for the special lunch theme, "State of the State. Where do we go from here?" Aanestad and LaMalfa will discuss issues of interest and importance in Sacramento including the state budget and deficit and what local businesses can expect in the coming year. The lunch is at Hillcrest Catering/The Plaza Room in Yuba City and starts at 11:45 a.m. The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Call 743-6501 for reservations by June 4.

Wednesday, May 28, 6 p.m. Wheatland business clinic: The Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation is holding a clinic to help Wheatland businesses fill out the necessary paperwork to apply for business loans. These loans will only be available through this year. The clinic will be held at the Wheatland Senior Center. Call 633-9333 for further questions.
