DID YOU KNOW.........? "The new, updated Farm Trails brochure has arrived. This year, 10,000 copies were printed due to its popularity in 2007. The guide shows 36 places in Yuba and Sutter counties that offer seasonal produce and year-round fruits and vegetables, in addition to wineries and olive oils as well. All of our new brochures, including the newly printed Walking Tour of Marysville will soon replace the old ones on www.visityubasutter.com . They are downloadable.

Member Notes

LEGISLATIVE LUNCH RESERVATIONS: The next Legislative Lunch will be held Friday, June 6, with Sen. Sam Aanestad as the featured speaker. He will discuss issues of interest and importance in Sacramento including the state budget and deficit and what local businesses can expect in the coming year. The lunch is at Hillcrest Catering at The Plaza Room in Yuba City and starts at 11:45 a.m. The cost is $20 for members, $25 for non-members. Call 743-6501 for reservations. SHOP LOCAL FESTIVAL: The Shop Local Festival was a big success with more than 50 businesses participating and several hundred visitors this past Saturday at the Raley's Shopping Center. SPECIAL SATURDAY RIBBON CUTTING: Buttacavoli Industries, in business for 30 years in the Yuba-Sutter community, hosts a ribbon cutting ceremony this Saturday, May 17th at 12:30 p.m. at their new 4,200-square-foot building at 1015 Yuba Street in Marysville. Bruce Buttacavoli would love to give you a tour of this wonderful new building. A space is available for lease. There will be light refreshments and a raffle for a free door with installation.

BUSINESS CONNECTION BREAKFAST DOOR PRIZES: The BCB committee is offering members an opportunity to advertise their goods and services for very low cost to a prime target audience. At the breakfast each month, a door prize compliments of a local business, is given away. Door prizes are usually either a gift certificate for goods or services from your establishment. In some cases where a gift certificate is not practical, a gift basket is donated. This month, the breakfast topic is "E Commerce". If you would like to know more about this program please call Chuck Buerki or Mandy Jones

MAP AD SALES: The Chamber has a limited number of map ad spaces still available. Costs start at $350 with more than 7,500 maps going out in the Yuba-Sutter community. Payment is due when the map is ready to be printed. To reserve your space, call Membership Director Mandy Jones at 743-3497.

Throughout the month of May, Smart Cycling Seminars: Learn how to safely commute, run errands and travel by bicycle. Door prizes are awarded at each seminar and bicycles are not needed for this training. Snacks will be provided.
