Member Notes
BCB SPECIAL EARLY DEADLINE: This month's Business Connection Breakfast, "Workforce Development, Generation Me," is at Flavors Restaurant at Yuba College in Linda. Friday, April 18, by 4 p.m., is the deadline to make a reservation. We are expecting a wonderful gourmet breakfast and an interesting presentation from sociology professor Marc Flaks on the generational differences of our workers. Call 743-6501 to make your reservation. The breakfast is on Friday, April 25. Thanks to Yuba College for sponsoring the April breakfast and to Colusa Casino for the 2008 sponsorship of this event.
SURVEY THANKS: More than 200 members took the Chamber membership survey. Thank you for your help. The Board of Directors will work with the survey responses to make sure we are offering the best Chamber services possible.
DEADLINE FOR SHOP LOCAL FESTIVAL: More than 30 Chamber businesses are now signed up for the SHOP LOCAL FESTIVAL on May 10 at the Raley's Shopping Center at Highway 99 and Bridge Street. A bounce house, Kids Zone, live radio remote, a barbecue, loads of raffle prizes, and area mascots are all planned The cost for a booth is just $50, with food vendors required to purchase a $30 event-day food permit from Sutter County Health Department. Deadline for registration is April 25th, 2008. (Certificate of Insurance MUST be included with registration.)
TAX DAY EVENT: PostNet will be open on Tuesday, April 15th, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. PostNet will take your completed tax forms to Sacramento to have them postmarked. Refreshments will be served, plenty of giveaways and radio personalities will be present.
