RIBBON CUTTING WITH WINE TASTING: Camelot Gallery is introducing its new wine bar at a ribbon cutting Thursday at 5:30 p.m. at 320 D St. in Marysville. The evening will feature wines from 10 area vineyards including everything from Reisling to Chardonnay and Merlot to Cabernet. There will also be raffle prizes and appetizers within the gallery.

BUSINESS TODAY DEADLINE: Friday is the deadline to submit items for Business Today, the Chamber business publication that is delivered in the Appeal-Democrat each month. Chamber members should send business news to mjones@yubasutterchamber.com. This is a FREE members-only benefit.

SHOP LOCAL FESTIVAL: Plan now to showcase your business-show our community what your business has to offer!  A bounce house, Kids Zone, live radio remote, a barbecue, loads of raffle prizes, and area mascots are all planned for the May 10 Shop Local Festival at Raley's Shopping Center at Highway 99 and Bridge Street. The cost for a booth is just $50, with food vendors required to purchase a $30 event-day food permit from Sutter County Health Department. Deadline for registration is April 25^th, 2008. (Certificate of Insurance MUST be included with registration.)

Monday, April 14, 5 p.m., Workforce Development Awards deadline:  Monday, April 14, 5 p.m. The Chamber's Workforce Development Program is a unique awards program for students of all ages who are studying to work in the Yuba-Sutter area. The non-academic based awards focus on motivation and desire to work in the Yuba-Sutter community and range from $500 to $2,000.
