A weekly summary of events, activities and information of interest to members of the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce.

DID YOU KNOW......... "With rising costs, the Chamber Board of Directors agreed to hold 2008 costs for events and programs at 2007 rates and raised dues only 2 percent."

MEMBER NOTES

ANNUAL DINNER LOCATION REMINDER: The 2008 Annual Dinner is not at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds. It is at the Walnut Avenue Community Center. Travel south on Highway 99 from Yuba City to Walnut Avenue. Turn right on Walnut Avenue. The center is on the right immediately past the orchards.

ST. ISIDORE CATHOLIC SCHOOL RIBBON CUTTING POSTPONED: The ribbon cutting scheduled for tonight has been rescheduled to February 12, 2008, due to the recent bad weather and continuing storms. The school agreed that it was in the best interest of the safety and comfort of parishioners, staff, students and guests to postpone the event.

LABOR LAW POSTERS: The Chamber will continue to take Labor Law posters to help businesses make sure they meet the state and federally mandated requirements. Call the Chamber office at 743-6501 for an order form.

MAKE-UP ORIENTATION: The recent bad weather made it difficult for members to attend the Member Orientation on Friday, January 4. Another orientation will be held Friday, January 18, at 8 a.m. at the Chamber annex. There is no cost to attend and reservations are not required.

Business Today sponsorship: The March Business Today sponsorship is available. The cost is $2,000 and includes the cover of Business Today, an inside page and 200 additional copies for the sponsor. In addition to distribution in the Appeal-Democrat, 900-plus copies are sent out in the Chamber's monthly mailer. The sponsor also receives a free flyer insert into the monthly mailer for their business.
