December 4, 2007

A weekly summary of events, activities and information of interest to members of the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce.

DID YOU KNOW......... The Chamber hosts a comprehensive tourism web site, complete with an events calendar, at www.visityubasutter.com. About 1,000 unique guests visit the site each month.

MEMBER NOTES

Our apologies: An article in Business Today included a list of the Chamber members with more than 40 years of membership in the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce. We inadvertently missed Mike and Annette Wheeler of Wheeler Chevrolet Cadillac Jeep Mazda in Yuba City.

Labor Law Compliance Orders: Friday, December 7, at 4 p.m. is the deadline to order Labor Law Compliance materials to meet mandated state and federal law. The early deadline will allow us to place the order in time for the compliance deadline on January 1, 2008. The Chamber's 2008 California and Federal Employment Poster costs $23 and includes all 16 required notices on one 28X53 inch non-laminated poster. A laminated poster costs $39. Posters are available in English or in Spanish. Payment is required at time of order.

A flyer with the order form is available online at www.yubasutterchamber.com. Call 743-6501 to have an order form faxed to you.

Annual dinner donations: Donations for the drawing at the annual dinner will take on a three-tiered, you choose, chance to win. Chamber members who would like to donate an item for the drawing can contact Membership Director Mandy Jones at mjones@yubasutterchamber.com or call 743-6501. Pre-sale packages of drawing tickets valued at $60 can be reserved at the Chamber office for $40 until Monday, December 31.

Annual Dinner & Installation of Officers: Reservations are being taken for the annual dinner on January 12, 2008. Individual reservations are $40 and sponsor tables are $600 and $1,000. Call the Chamber at 743-6501 to make your reservation. This year the event will be held at the Walnut Avenue Community Center on Walnut Avenue off Highway 99 in Yuba City.
