Chamber Receives Thumbs Up in Appeal-Democrat * Creating a strong local economy * Promoting the community * Providing networking opportunities * Representing the interests of business with government CHAMBER NOTES November 20, 2007
A weekly summary of events, activities and information of interest to members of the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce.
DID YOU KNOW......... The Chamber received a Thumbs Up in the Appeal-Democrat Monday for its work in the community. The popular column on Monday's editorial page said, "Thumbs up to the Yuba-Sutter Chamber of Commerce for endorsing the Yuba Highlands housing project. Whether it is Yuba Highlands or some other hot-button issue, there are plenty of supporters and detractors with various agendas. No matter what the issue is, one of the keys to future success in our region is the overall health of the business community. It is the Chamber of Commerce that is charged with being a cohesive voice of business. In 2007, the Chamber of Commerce made inroads in securing additional tourism funding and provided input on impact fees. This is in addition to the networking events, scholarship programs, LEAD program, active Ambassador network and other programs they operate. As we head toward 2008, the economy appears to be headed for rough seas. We're thankful the chamber will continue to be the business community's advocate.
Thanks to the Appeal-Democrat for the Thumbs Up.
