Recognizing the importance of a skilled local workforce to a healthy economy, this committee has worked very hard over the last few years to solicit funds from various business sectors to increase cash grants from $1200 to over $20,000 a year. Grants of up to $2,500 have been awarded for tuition and required materials at trade schools and colleges to people of any age needing money to improve their work skills. The applications process generally starts on March 1st.
