Workforce Development Awards deadline (5:00PM - 5:00PM)
The Chamber's Workforce Development Program is a unique awards program for students of all ages who are studying to work in the Yuba-Sutter area. The non-academic based awards focus on motivation and desire to work in the Yuba-Sutter community and range from $500 to $2,000. Mailed applications must be postmarked by Friday, April 11th. Late entries will not be accepted.

"Shop Local Festival" reservation deadline (4:00PM - 4:00PM)
More than 30 Chamber businesses are now signed up for the Shop Local Festival Introduce your business to area shoppers at this festival on May 10 at the Raley's Shopping Center, Highway 99 and Bridge Street. A bounce house, Kids Zone, live radio remote, a barbecue, loads of raffle prizes, and area mascots are all planned. The cost for a booth is just $50, with food vendors required to purchase a $30 event-day food permit from Sutter County Health Department. Deadline for registration is April 25th, 2008. (Certificate of Insurance MUST be included with registration.)
