Annual Gala & Awards Ceremony reservation deadline (5:00PM - 5:00PM)
The 2010 Annual Gala and Awards Ceremony, “Honoring Our Members & Our Military” will be held on Saturday, March 13th, 2010 at the Beale Air Force Base Community Center (across from Recce Point Club.) Formal attire, open host bar 5:30 pm, Buffet Dinner and Program 6:45 pm. Individual seats $50. Advance registration required. No door pay, seating limited to 300 so reserve early. ***Due to Beale AFB access requirements, reservations must include a driver’s license number and state, and the birthdate of each attendee.

Government Affairs Committee mtg (7:30AM - 8:30AM)
The mission of the Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is to "Establish necessary relationships with city, county, federal and state elected officials to support or oppose issues impacting the Yuba-Sutter business community." The Government Affairs Committee (GAC) is truly the "voice of business" in Yuba-Sutter. Should the Chamber of Commerce be asked how government action will affect the business community, this is the committee that speaks. It is second only to the Board of Directors in authority.

APRIL Business Today article submission deadline (4:00PM - 4:00PM)
Chamber members may submit short (50-100 words or less) press releases regarding news about their member business and they will be printed, space permitting, in either the “Around Town” or the “Member News” section of the Chamber’s monthly publication “Business Today.” Business Today is generally distributed the last Monday of each month in the Appeal Democrat and then two weeks later directly to Chamber members in the “Monthly Mailer.”

Workforce Development Award Committee mtg (8:00AM - 9:00AM)
Recognizing the importance of a skilled local workforce to a healthy economy, this committee has worked very hard over the last few years to solicit funds from various business sectors to increase cash grants from $1200 to over $20,000 a year. Grants of up to $2,500 have been awarded for tuition and required materials at trade schools and colleges to people of any age needing money to improve their work skills.

"Business Today", the Chamber's monthly business publication, is distributed in the Appeal-Democrat the last Monday of every month. Chamber members only are invited to submit items of special interest about their business for inclusion. The deadline for submission is the Friday two full weeks prior to distribution.
