The Chinese came to Marysville during the Gold
Rush days and by 1854 had erected a Temple, the Bok Kai Mui, where they could house
their Gods and go to worship. The temple can only be viewed by appointment, or is open to the public once a year during the Bok Kai Festival generally held in February or March.
The Sutter Buttes, located in Sutter County, is considered the smallest mountain range in the world, and are indeed a beautifully changing local sight. Read about them!
